Hi, we’re Hannah and Desi! What started as the two of us sharing our adventures has turned into a full-on family affair.
We live in Louisiana with our son, Finley Shade, four cats, and two dogs. Some days it feels like a zoo, and we wouldn’t have it any other way. Our next big dream? Building a real farm to go with it.
Who We Are
Hannah is an ER nurse who went back to school to become a nurse practitioner. She’s living proof it’s never too late to go after the next big thing.
Desi spent years working in tech until a layoff closed that door. Instead of looking for another one just like it, Desi turned content creation, our favorite hobby, into a full-time business.
Together, we create content about the real, beautiful, messy life of a two-mom family.

Our goal is simple: to inspire you to romanticize your normal life. On the blog, we share:

What We Believe
Life isn’t always going to be perfect. We know that firsthand. One of us was laid off, and the other went back to school as an adult. But you can still make every moment special.
We’re firm believers in “when one door closes, another one opens.” The catch is that sometimes you have to be the one to close it. You never know what’s waiting behind the next door until you do.
The one thing we always know? We have each other, and we’re always going to have fun.
